Community Standards

Maintaining Devonshire’s quality through clear community standards and ACC approval guidelines.

About Our Community Standards

Here at Devonshire, it is our priority that we work together to maintain and upkeep our community. In order to sustain the value of homes within Devonshire, community guidelines and regulations have been put in place to provide procedures for doing so. Here you will find our most updated set of guidelines as reference.

Architectural Modifications – Overview.

To make any physical or structural changes to the exterior of your home, an ACC Application must be completed and submitted for approval. Please include all information that will help the committee make a decision, and ensure your request meets all rules and regulations prior to submission.

Use Restrictions and Amendments:

These modifications include, but are not limited to, structural changes, landscaping, walls, fences, gates, driveways, walkways, pools, and spas; in essence, anything that is visible from the street, common areas, or neighboring property.

Please keep in mind:

Work may not begin without the ACC’s approval. The approval process may take up to 60 days.

Explore the events calendar and get details on what’s happening.

Resident Advisory Committee (RAC)

Resident volunteers who amplify your voice and advise Devonshire’s board on community priorities.

Shae Boydd (Secretary)

Hello everyone, I go by Shae Boydd! I feel I had a nomadic lifestyle growing up, lol. I spent most of my childhood in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and then my family finally settled in Dallas, Texas. My husband and I moved from Addison to Forney in June of 2021. My next-door neighbor was our realtor, so I’m beyond grateful for him and his wife showing us the area and our home.

Since, I’ve volunteered at a few Devonshire events, but I’m heavily involved in community service with my church by feeding the homeless, doing clothing drives, and volunteering at nursing homes.

My professional background is in mortuary science. Unfortunately, I was injured as a mortician and decided to take a few of my talents into the beauty industry. I am currently working as a cosmetic injector, which has opened the door for me to meet a few new people in my community. I love being able to make people look and feel good about themselves.

I’m excited that I am part of this committee and await the opportunity to connect with you all!

I am a native Texan. I grew up in Bedford, TX, and moved to Forney, TX, over 17 years ago with my wife when she accepted a teaching position at Forney ISD. She spent 15 years at Crosby and the past two at Griffin Elementary. So, I am known as “Mrs. Tubbs Husband” around Forney. We have been residents in Devonshire since June 2015.

I’m blessed with two amazing children. My daughter is a sophomore at North Forney HS, is on the softball team, and is also a Saphire Strutter. My son attends Griffin Elementary and is active in Taekwondo at Master Lee’s in Forney.

My background is in property management and the multi-family industry. For the last 13 years, I have overseen several multi-million dollar properties in the North Texas area. My experience and knowledge of property management will benefit the RAC and serve the community of Devonshire.

I am glad to be able to serve with each of you on the committee, and I look forward to serving our community with you. I look forward to meeting you all soon.
